Though I am not at my ideal weight yet, I am confident of what my body looks like today and am still working hard to improve my body image. ![]() Within 8 months, I lost 20 kgs and am still fighting this hormonal battle. By the time I graduated the next year in 2019, I decided to make a big change in my life and lose the extra weight. ![]() I had to have a cyst in my ovaries surgically removed when I turned 21/junior year. Two years after the injury, I, unfortunately, gained 35 kgs (77 lbs.) due to hormonal dysfunction. In my prime years, I was actually underweighted with only a 14% body fat mass. I tore my ACL and completely shattered the ligament in my inner left knee due to hyper-extension and overtraining for a long period of time. Unfortunately, under a series of events, I had a permanent injury in my left knee. In my teens, I was actually a professional tennis player and a national representative for my home country, Taiwan. Though it has taken a few years, I’ve become very comfortable being in front of the camera while experimenting with different kinds of photoshoots and commercials. It wasn’t until I turned 21, did I get the courage to get in front of the camera instead of always being behind the scene. After a few years, I slowly grew fond of showcasing my work through social media. At 16, I bought my first camera and fell in love with taking photos of different people posing with unique sceneries. Initially, I was more interested in photography. If I had to describe myself, I’d say I’m an adventure book with a rainbow hidden in the pages. I am 24 years old and am half Canadian and half Taiwanese. ![]()
